Wendy Antos was raised in a small coastal town in Southern California. Wendy found a passion for horses at 5 years old and quickly picked up a pencil to "create" the ones she desired. Starting with a pencil, making stick figures, she used observation to sharpen her skills.
During school she took many art classes and continued to draw horses at home. Exploring different mediums along the way, the beauty and energy of the horse inspired Wendy's initial desire to recreate the horse's image. Living with horses most of her life has helped her to see the humorous and entertaining side of horses as well. Using pen and ink, color pencil and water color, she combines those features to create beautiful art and whimsical characterchures. Wendy lives off the grid (without reliance on public utilities) in a small town in Southern Oregon. She shares forested acres with her husband, Paul, 4 horses, goats, barnyard fowl, dogs, and cats. When not pursuing art, Wendy enjoys working with horses and making cheese. |
